Discover Maynooth and Kildare

We invite our conference attendees to explore the unique offerings of the Kildare region. For those interested in experiencing the local area, we recommend viewing the Top Ten Things to Do Around Maynooth. This curated list highlights some of the most notable attractions in the vicinity.

Additionally, the Into Kildare official website provides comprehensive information on activities and sites throughout the region. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to explore the cultural and natural beauty that Kildare has to offer during your stay.

The K Club is a 4* gold course that offers group activities separate to golf such as Falconry, Horse Back Riding, Clay Pigeon Shooting as well as Fishing.

Carton House offers many activities as well via a group called Orangeworks. Whether it is just a Meal on the grounds, sporting, Falconry and Archery as well as a 4X4 Off roading experience in the man-made tracks on the grounds.

Kilkea castle also offers other experiences to Golf such as Falconry, Horse Back Riding, Archery, 4X4 Off Road Experience, Tennis and there is set to be the opening of new escape rooms on the grounds for team building activites. 

Mondello park – Have many driving experiences with instructors in the cars with porches, BMW’s, Ferrari’s and any car you could think.

Kildare Village – This would be world class shopping outlets based in Kildare.

Horse Racing – The Curragh With Horse racing being so prominent in the region there is a terrific racecourse here or in Naas. There are also museums dedicated to the history of horse racing in the region.

Newbridge Silverware – Newbridge Silverware is not just a lovely place to shop, but also has a great experience where you can tour through the warehouse and learn how all the pieces are made. They have a museum of clothing in the upstairs of the property that hosts outfits worn by many well-known celebrities globally, and even some royalty. They also host a great restaurant and café on site.
